PD Dr. Christoph Schick – Your Treating Physician

Dr. Schick is a pioneer in the field of treating hyperhidrosis and pathological blushing. Since the mid-nineties, as a scientist and physician, he has dedicated himself to researching the diagnosis and therapy of excessive sweating and blushing, making it the sole purpose of his professional work to help patients with these conditions. He is the author and co-author of numerous publications in high-ranking scientific journals and gives lectures and presentations around the world to share his knowledge with other scientists.

PD Dr. Schick has been a board-certified surgeon since 1998 and is a member of the German Society of Surgery and the Professional Association of German Surgeons. He studied at the Universities of Kiel and Erlangen and completed his specialist medical training at the University Hospital of Surgery Erlangen under the esteemed guidance of Professor Dr. Werner Hohenberger. After completing his specialist training, Dr. Schick obtained the qualification and authorization to teach surgery and is a university lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. He is, among others, a member of the European Federation of Autonomic Societies and a founding member and, after a four-year presidency, Past President of the International Society of Sympathetic Surgery.

The German Hyperhidrosis Center DHHZ was founded by PD Dr. Schick in 2005 as the first holistic treatment center in Germany for the treatment of sweating and blushing, to offer affected patients medical assistance at the highest level. All staff members of the Sweat Outpatient Clinic, Clinic Dr. Decker, and the outpatient surgical center are also committed to this principle.
